WEBQUEST

 

*          On your webquest, you will visit the site US – Iraq ProCon.org to research the pros and cons of the United States’ involvement in Iraq.  There are four sections of the website that you will look at: US Involvement, Post War Issues with Iraq’s Oil, Terrorism, and US Troop Reduction/Withdrawal.

 

*          For each section that you look at, you must find four pieces of evidence that is for and against the topic.

*                      Each question will have a link to a worksheet that will help you organize your information.

*                      When documenting your sources, the fastest way to copy the information is the copy and paste functions on the computer.

*          In order to copy and paste you will highlight the information that you want to select and press “ctrl” C.  This will copy the information

*          To paste it into the specific Microsoft Word file, put the cursor where you want the information to go and press “Ctrl” V.  This will paste the information

 

*          US Involvement

*                      Many people have questioned why the United States waged a war on Iraq.  In this link you should find answers to this question.

*                      There have been many issues regarding Iraq’s oil supply.  Some feel that US is only involved because of their oil; others feel that the US must be involved to maintain freedom of capitalism for all the oil reserves.
